The hotel’s cocktail lounge is also one of America’s most lauded. The menu features classics alongside proprietary creations. Candy Bar’s success will be judged in later years by the social movements, business deals, marriages (and assignations) that are hatched under its candy pink ceiling.
SECOND FLOOR, 8AM - 1AM (SUN - THURS) & 8AM - 2AM (FRI - SAT)
With the Wurlitzer jukebox keeping score in the background and the world going by on Broadway Street, Karl's is an 80-seat, all-day restaurant, helmed by Chef Kate Williams of Lady of The House fame. Karl's serves up American classics with Chef Kate Williams' very own enveloping style and grace, along with an in-house bakery and bar. Karl's, named after a yesteryear establishment once owned by Williams' great great-grandparents on the East Side of Detroit, is soon to become your favorite not-so-greasy spoon.
FIRST FLOOR, 4PM - 10PM (THURS - SUN)
An 8-seat enigma, Albena is helmed by James Beard nominee Chef, Garrett Lipar, who bares his soul to a few fortunate guests each evening. A reservation will secure your place inside Albena’s open kitchen within a private nook of the hotel. With a tasting menu inspired by the Great Lakes region and wabi sabi design meant to engage and heighten your every sense, a seat here is truly a rite of passage. Advanced booking is required. Reserve online or inquire at Reception.
