Populace Coffee Roasters, The Siren’s in-house coffee roaster and bar, features coffee drinks, fresh roasted coffees, and pastries baked right upstairs at Karl’s. Stand at the counter, return to your chamber, or seek a corner of the lobby for stimulating conversation.

Candy Bar

FIRST FLOOR, SUN - MON 5PM - 1 AM & FRI - SAT 5PM - 2AM

The hotel’s cocktail lounge is also one of America’s most anticipated. The menu features classics alongside proprietary creations. Candy Bar’s success will be judged in later years by the social movements, business deals, marriages (and assignations) that are hatched under its candy pink ceiling.

Karl's

SECOND FLOOR

With the Wurlitzer jukebox keeping score in the background and the world going by on Broadway Street, Karl's is an 85-seat, all-day restaurant, helmed by Chef Kate Williams of Lady of The House fame.  Karl's will serve up American classics with Chef Kate Williams' very own enveloping style and grace, along with an in-house bakery and bar.  Karl's, named after a yesteryear establishment once owned by Williams' great great-grandparents on the East Side of Detroit, is soon to become your favorite not-so-greasy spoon.

 

 

 

Albena

FIRST FLOOR, 4PM - DINNER

An 8-seat enigma, Albena is helmed by James Beard nominee Chef, Garrett Lipar, who bares his soul to a few fortunate guests each evening. A reservation will secure your place inside Albena’s open kitchen within a private nook of the hotel. With a tasting menu inspired by the Great Lakes region and wabi sabi design meant to engage and heighten your every sense, a seat here is truly a rite of passage. Advanced booking is required. Visit Sabine inside The Siren Shop off the lobby for the ultimate collection of objects, curated for the discerning traveler. Sabine travels the world in search of the very best in fragrance, jewelry, and apothecary products. Curators Rita Sayegh and Gregory Ducharme create this shop-concept through prestige global brands, hard to find cult makers, unusual collectibles and Sabine exclusives. Step into this charming and intimate setting for the finest scents, textures, colors and for a one-of-a-kind retail experience. The Shop hosts rotating local, national and international brands in addition to limited edition photographs by Detroit's Bill Rauhauser.

Paramita Sound

Paramita Sound opened its doors in West Village in 2015 and quickly became a community hub for live music, new and used records, and collaboration along local creators and music fans alike. Bringing music back into the halls of the Wurlitzer and the old stage of 1515 Broadway, Paramita will keep on sharing its legacy of sounds and vinyl records now with a bar and a slew of music and cultural programming for neighbors and visitors.

Zipcars are conveniently available one block from the hotel at the Z Deck. Inquire with reception before you get lost. Additionally, most major car rental agencies have offices in the surrounding neighborhood.
Valet services are available on-site for $30 overnight and $15 for daily parking.

Our well-trained house team is scheduled to service your chamber between 8:00am and 4:00pm. We will service your chamber daily unless you ask otherwise. If you have a special preference, please let Reception know and we will be sure to expedite your request. Our chambermaids ask that you check the room twice before your departure to ensure you have all personal effects.
For your peace of mind, valuable items can be kept in our house safe. Please discuss details with Reception.
A spiffy hair dryer, iron and accompanying board can be found in each chamber. Please inquire with Reception if you require assistance.
Laundry and Dry cleaning services are available Mon-Fri. For same day turn-around please drop your items at Reception by 8:30AM. For information on pricing, please inquiry at the Front Desk. 
Beds will be made and towels exchanged daily. Linens changed every third day. For a more or less frequent schedule, simply let us know.
Short of wetting stamps with staff saliveries, we take great personal care in handling and sending your letters and packages. We provide standard, overnight and courier services.
We stock a wide variety of newspapers and rare magazines from around the world. If you wish for delivery of a certain periodical, let us know and we will do our best to have it waiting for you.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside guest rooms, both by hotel standards and Michigan State Law. If you choose to smoke in your room, we offer our deepest condolences alongside a non-negotiable minimum fine of $1,000.
